In a record-breaking year for JBA – with 7 new recruits in total for 2019 – we are pleased to announce that we have recently appointed a new Commercial Manager, welcomed a Trainee Quantity Surveyor and added another Project Manager to our team.
Rod Mason has joined our management team as both an Associate and Commercial Manager. After training in Quantity Surveying at the University of Reading, Rod has nearly 15 years of experience as a surveyor and 25 years of experience within the construction industry as a whole. His undoubted abilities as Commercial Manager come as a result of a wealth of knowledge gained from undertaking a wide variety of projects in both the public and private sectors. As associate, Rod has an overseeing role within JB Associates, supporting our newer surveyors and taking the lead on various projects with numerous key clients. He is also acting as mentor for our youngest new recruit and trainee, Will Elinor. Will is relatively new to the construction industry; he has 2.5 years of experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and is currently training for his HNC at Southampton Solent University. JB Associates is thrilled to be welcoming young surveyors and trainees to the team, especially those like Will with a passion for construction and a desire to broaden his industry knowledge. Finally, we are delighted to have Adam Vibert join us as Project Manager. Having started in the industry as an apprentice electrician, Adam has worked his way through the industry in many different roles whilst developing a wide range of skills. He has primary experience in electrical engineering but also commands a good knowledge of mechanical systems which has helped him in undertaking project engineering / management positions. All three new recruits are great assets to our team as reliable, enthusiastic and ambitious individuals and we are thoroughly looking forward to 2020 with them on our side.
