Celebrating #InternationalWomensDay and welcoming Kate Crabb to the JBA Team…

Kate has recently joined JB Associates in our Digital Enterprise Department. Working alongside the team in charge of designing and creating specialist interactive documentation for a variety of high-profile and confidential clients, Kate has become part of one of the most interesting areas of our consultancy. To celebrate last week’s International Women’s Day, we asked Kate a few questions about her day-to-day role at JB Associates and what she gets up to when she’s not with us in the office…   1/ Explain your role within the JBA team My role at JB Associates is based in O&M Manual/all documentation support, as well as admin for the company.  2/ Walk us through a typical day for you in the office I support Ian, my line manager, in numerous tasks involved in creating the JBA Interactive Documents. This includes capturing data and collating information to then be built into the bespoke, interactive documentation that we provide to various clients according to their specification. It involves a lot of computer-based work and research but luckily we are a social team so I always feel comfortable asking questions when I need to. 3/ What advice would you give someone looking to start a new career in the construction industry One thing I have learned recently, especially since beginning work in this industry and with JB Associates, is that you can achieve whatever you put your mind to – so just give it a try! 4/ What do you get up to on the weekends? I enjoy spending my weekending trying to get out and about with the family and our dog. Usually that involves a forest walk and a pub lunch. 5/ If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why? To fly!
